Founded by Komal and Kenisha, Unfurl was born from a simple belief—that India's extraordinary craftsmanship deserves to be experienced in a way that feels timeless, contemporary, and relevant to modern living.
As we explored artisan communities across the country, we were captivated by the skill, patience, and heritage behind every handcrafted piece. Yet we also noticed a gap. While traditional crafts are incredibly beautiful, they are often presented in ways that don't always resonate with today's homes and lifestyles. We wanted to create collections that honour centuries-old techniques while embracing clean silhouettes, refined colour palettes, and timeless design.
Our journey began with authentic hand-spun, handwoven Pashmina from Kashmir—one of the world's rarest and finest natural fibres. As we learned more about this remarkable craft, we discovered how difficult it had become for customers to find genuine Pashmina. Today, the market is filled with blended fibres that are often sold as pure Pashmina, making authenticity difficult to recognise. We believed customers deserved complete transparency and the confidence of knowing exactly what they were investing in.
From there, Unfurl naturally evolved into a curated collection of handcrafted home and lifestyle pieces, created in collaboration with skilled artisan communities across India. Every collection reflects our commitment to exceptional craftsmanship, thoughtfully selected natural materials, and responsible practices wherever possible. We create products that are not only beautiful today but are designed to be cherished for years to come.
